Overview

Drives the transition from business requirements to functional stories for the development of new software applications or enhancements to existing systems.  Represents Product as member of Agile development team. Consults with users to identify current business processes and clarifies application objectives. Research problem reports and resolve issues with users or business owners and send stories to software development or program management for resolution. Participates in the testing process through test plan development, test review and analysis. Creates stories and tasks in JIRA for team members.

Responsibilities

 

  • Loves to meet with users, understand their pain, and write user stories.
  • Loves to write technical documentation on features and processes.
  • Loves to build detailed process maps using tools like draw.io.
  • Writes stories supporting the development of new API products.
  • Translate and implement Engineering product structure and configuration rules into the software.
  • Meet with multiple stakeholders, which may include end users, customers, marketing, consultants and engineers in the design as well as the performance of the software.
  • Thoroughly research and test UI elements to assure ease of use and friendliness of the application.
  • Skillfully applies influence, negotiates, and mediates discussions needed to make progress towards achieving business goals and objectives.
  • Leads the development and review (from content to final draft) of user guides, training classes, and other end user documentation for applications and processes.
  • Participate in the review and execution of software testing plans to ensure quality and accuracy. Assure that designs meet business requirements.
  • Works with other functional groups in order to develop tests that simulate the requirements of the customers. Evaluates test data and makes software revisions to solve identified problems.

Has thorough understanding of technical concepts required for specialized field. Uses knowledge, creativity and company practices and priorities to obtain solutions to complex problems. Exercises judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining result

Qualifications

  • 4+ years as a systems analyst or equivalent for projects relating to custom software development
  • Experience writing functional stories based on an understanding of business need
  • Experience with user focus sessions and voice of the customer
  • Experience with Agile software development and Scrum
  • Experience with building web-based applications
  • Experience with Swagger API framework, Open API framework
  • Familiarity with API technology, design, and terminology
  • Experience working with supply chain technology, such as conveyors, transportation, parcel carriers
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies
  • Understanding of data modeling
  • Polished presentation skills
  • Exceptional listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Excels in an innovative and collaborative environment
  • Comfortable interacting with executive teams
  • Strong sense of urgency and the ability to embrace a changing landscape
  • Extensive product and process knowledge, planning abilities, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or Supply Chain
