The Associate Strategy Business Analyst is a pivotal member of Newgistics’ Strategy and Innovation team, and will be responsible for supporting a wide range of strategic initiatives through the preparation of financial and operational research and analyses. Types of projects vary widely but include creation and measurement of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) across business verticals, predictive sales analytics, market sizing, pricing, and competitive landscaping. The work is fast paced and demanding – but extremely interesting and gratifying; we have multiple new products and initiatives launching.

We are looking for candidates who have spent 2+ years in highly analytical roles in management consultancies or high growth businesses, and who are ready to apply and expand their skills. This individual will report to the Vice President, New Business Strategy and Development.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Build financial and operating models and KPIs to evaluate business performance and new opportunities
  • Mine and manipulate consumer and retailer data and insights in order to enhance products and services
  • Conduct competitive research and partner analyses
  • Create effective presentations and business communications for internal and external constituents


  • Problem-solver with a high aptitude for numbers; must be able to frame complex problems, apply creative analysis, and formulate sensible solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment – and handle uncertainty when it arises
  • Strong sense of accountability, ownership and urgency while working independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to distill relevant insights from large amounts of information
  • Expert written and oral communicator with maturity and poise beyond your years



  • Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience in highly analytical role at management consultancy, or technology, retail, transportation or other relevant company
  • Undergraduate degree; ideal disciplines include Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management/Logistics, any hard sciences
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Proficient in Power BI, Google Analytics or other similar tools
  • Extensive experience in or other CRM platforms
  • Interested in learning the ins and outs of ecommerce, B2B and B2C services, platforms, players and strategies
