The Financial Analyst is responsible for coordinating the company’s financial planning activities and reporting tasks, from strategy to tactics. Exerts very strong influence on strategic and financial plans and resolves complex and ambiguous issues related to financial planning of the company. The position has very broad company perspective and must maintain an excellent understanding of the NGS returns solutions within all functional areas.


Financial Planning

  • Coordinate the financial and strategic planning processes      
  • Coordinate, analyze, and challenge the forecasting assumptions surrounding the results of operations, balance sheet, and capital expenditures from the various Management Team members.
  • Assists in the development of strategic plan activities by modeling various scenarios and providing analysis & recommendations
  • Assists in the development of business plans and capital requirements leading towards future growth strategies


Financial Analysis

  • Establish and maintain an effective system for analyzing operating performance of NGS including the development of performance standards that drive decision making
  • Preparation of Board presentations relating to the various financial budgets
  • Ad Hoc reporting and analysis as requested



  • Serves as a primary liaison with the operating divisions for all future planning and strategic issues.
  • Develop and maintain a proficient working knowledge of the Hyperion analysis, reporting, and modeling tools.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all NGS operational and financial processes.
  • Knowledge expert of the various Cost Drivers associated with the NGS products and processes.

Education: MBA with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred. CPA certificate desired.


Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial analysis and accounting.


Specific Knowledge:

Comprehensive understanding of analytical and business process procedures with proficiency in reading and interpreting financial and operating results and developing alternatives.

Superior knowledge of budgeting process.

Advanced knowledge in Excel, Powerpoint, Word and a solid understanding of Oracle and/or Hyperion.

The ability to quickly grasp and contribute towards company operations and business drivers.

Must possess a high degree of interpersonal confidence and initiative to work with, and present to, a variety of personalities including senior management.

Ability to set priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment;

Ability to maintain confidentiality of information; ability to work overtime.

High level of Integrity

High level of independence and personal leadership skills


Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Able to establish effective working relationships with functional managers and senior management.
