  • Responsibilities

    • Manage direct sales team
    • Team responsible for generating new business through identifying, prospecting, managing and closing new opportunities
    • Act as a leader and business consultant that demonstrates extensive knowledge and insight into team and with prospective clients’ business processes while linking offerings to the agendas of senior executives
    • Direct team to deliver high caliber, persuasive presentations incorporating value based strategies and impacts
    • Assist team in negotiating pricing and contracts
    • Oversee, manage and direct the teams growth and optimize a sales pipeline, manage pursuit strategies focused on senior executives to deliver new client wins
    • Lead sales team in building strong client relationships and strong management of internal, cross functional resources
    • Ability to work in a team environment as a knowledge leader
    • Meet with middle/senior logistics executives in client organizations to support the sales process as needed
    • Help the team develop and maintain a sales plan by developing strategies to increase business opportunities with each account (existing and potentials), meet/exceed account specific budgets, and develop additional sales leads
    • Managing teams opportunity management with up-to-date account information and all customer data for the CRM application
    • Work with team and senior client executives to develop the value proposition for all Newgistics services

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience in a sales/ leadership role
    • 5+ years of recent corporate sales plan attainment or exceeding corporate sales plan as the key sales leader
    • A foundation in both solution selling (Parcel, Fulfillment, Oracle, Accenture, IBM) along with experience in selling and delivering e-commerce services to retailers
    • Track record of scaling a company
    • Understands key success factors in driving aggressive growth
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven, team-oriented environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Background in deploying best in class practices and metrics for optimal performance

    • Team builder with ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies
    • Skilled at successfully working with employees across all levels of a business
    • A hands-on leader who will roll up their sleeves and at times be a player/coach
    • A team builder, able to establish a strong following

    Ideal education

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • MBA preferred
