  • Overview

    The International Inbound Ops Specialist is responsible for managing the operational duties and overseeing tasks related to parcel operations for Inbound International shipments and clients.

     

    This individual will work directly with the local operations team and account management to oversee the day-to-day service for all of Pitney Bowes international inbound parcel clients and trouble shoot problems as they may rise. This individual will have a direct impact on the growth of this business and development of processes.

     

    The position’s secondary objectives will be to support the local facility in any capacity necessary to run the Returns and Delivery sort operations.

     

    The International Inbound Ops Specialist will report directly to the local Facility Manager with a dotted line to the Sr. Field Operations Manager and support the account management team. The position will require cross-functional interaction with departments such as transportation, account management, and technology.

    Responsibilities

    • This person acts in a liaison role between customer service/account management resources and the operations floor in relation to International Inbound clients
    • Communicates with local associates, corporate contacts, customers, and vendors to accomplish facility operational goals and objectives.
    • Resolves team conflicts, supports a positive and safe work environment, uses proactive and reactive coaching
    • Understands, coaches and supports company procedures, policy, rules, processes, tools, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
    • Performs quality audits to ensure best client experience and completes associate training in regards to best practices (SOP)
    • Communicates daily about facility, corporate, and other pertinent information to various teams and individuals, in various meeting formats (pre-sort, one-on-one, written, etc.).
    • Performs and participates in additional facility duties in support of the operation within an automated environment.

    • Facilitate account management requests and help ensure both the operations and the customers have the information needed for success. 
    • Investigate and resolve client inquiries as the resident expert in the operations. Such as missing, damaged, overages, or shortages.

    Qualifications

    • 3-to-5 years of leadership experience in a transportation/distribution/warehouse environment is preferred.
    • Highly Organized
    • Strong analytical skills and structured problem solving skills.
    • Excellent people and leadership skills.
    • Strong work ethic and ability to work with little supervision. High degree of initiative and time management.
    • Confident abilities in MS Office business suite
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Experience in data gathering and analysis, identifying trends/gaps, building action plans, driving successful execution, and sustaining productivity through effective management.
    • Ability to move and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to work variable shifts, long hours, including weekends and holidays.
    • Technically abled or ability to learn navigation of all corporate systems and tools (software, induct station, RF scanner, forklift, etc.) used in support of Newgistics operations.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work independently to solve problems
    • Experience dealing with Customs and or Freight carriers
    • Fluent in English and Spanish
