  • Overview

    The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for all maintenance functions within a facility. The manager will work directly with facility management to minimize downtime and to prioritize the required work. This individual will work with the onsite facility personnel to address any mechanical or electrical issues that arise and take proper action to diagnose and/or fix the problem. This person will be responsible for following OSHA and other standard safety guidelines, conducting business as outlined by company policy, and using personal integrity to accomplish goals. The individual will be responsible for tracking all machine downtime, scheduling and documenting P/M’s, maintaining inventory of spares parts and assisting Operations management to achieve P&L goals, safety standards, performance goals, and customer service standards. The individual will apply continuous improvement on all aspects of maintenance.


    • Manage maintenance personnel to include managing shifts, PTO, job assignments, and other work related functions and assist other in other work related functions. The individual will apply continuous improvement to all aspects of maintenance
    • Insure department budgetary goals are obtained
    • Design and reconfigure existing systems as necessary
    • Assist and contribute in all aspects of projects including the design, install and acceptance
    • Emergency repairs, including diagnosis and dispatching of the appropriate vendors, as necessary
    • Schedule and document all necessary preventative maintenance as required
    • Record keeping of all maintenance functions including employee hours, PTO, and OT
    • Work with suppliers and develop good working relationships
    • Ability to understand and work with 120, 240, and 480 VAC, to 24 VAC/DC
    • Ability to use volt/ohm meter
    • Ability to proficiently use power tools and any required hand tools
    • Proficient in fabrication welding
    • Manage spare parts inventory
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
    • Perform basic plumbing and wood working
    • Other assigned duties
    • Generate reports and documentation for P/M’s, cost savings, personnel performance, OSHA, LOTO





    • 10 years of maintenance or equivalent experience
    • Associates degree or equivalent experience
    • Knowledge of automated CMMS maintenance software or similar programs
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Understanding and applying Microsoft Office
    • PLC knowledge, experience a plus
    • Able to use and become certified on dock equipment (forklifts, aerial work platform, reach trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks, walkie riders, floor scrubbers, etc.)
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to develop pertinent procedures
    • Willing to travel 10%-15% to other facilities and in the event of an emergency
    • Must follow all company policies and procedures
    • Ability to fully understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, designs
    • Electrical and mechanical experience is required
    • Knowledge in conveyor systems is a plus
