Our thriving London office is in West End and serves customers in Europe and North America such as Mulberry, FitFlop, Gucci, Nike and LVMH.


    Tacit has 175 staff across six offices - San Francisco, New York, Austin, Mexico, Moldova and with a rapidly growing team of 40 in London.




    Tacit Knowledge is a team of software developers, analysts and project managers who build websites and mobile apps for the brands and services you use everyday. We pull off these minor feats of engineering wizardry by assembling a team of brilliant yet humble software professionals.


    We are currently looking for a Business Analyst based out of our London office.


    • Conduct client interviews and facilitate workshops to capture functional and non functional requirements
    • Document, define and share detailed business requirements
    • Work closely with developers and architects to build custom applications on the J2EE and .NET platforms
    • Contribute during all phases of the development cycle (analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment)
    • Work independently and in teams, enable others to be successful in both environments as well
    • Hit the ground running at client sites and to rapidly establish rapport with the client
    • Be a project leader when one is needed, including playing the role of Agile- Project Manager if required
    • Be a client services leader when one is needed, including helping to identify future project needs, providing solutions to client problems and opportunities for Tacit Knowledge.


    • 5+ years as a business/systems analyst or functional consultant for projects relating to custom software development and/or systems integration
    • Experience working with functional and non-functional requirements a plus
    • eCommerce business analysis experience, either within a consultancy or the online division of an established retailer
    • Experience running discovery phases and workshop session
    • Experience with Agile software development methodology, including user story creation.
    • Experience with building large eCommerce systems or other high availability web-based applications.
    • Familiarity with testing methodologies
    • Understanding of data modelling, object modelling and OO design principles
    • Polished presentation skills
    • Exceptional listening, written and verbal communication skills
    • Educated to Degree Hons level



    • Experience working as a professional consultant being the primary point of contact with clients
    • Experience of collaborating with remote/offshore development teams
    • Strong understanding of capabilities and limitations of programming languages, middleware solutions, application servers and presentation layer tools is a plus, but not mandatory
    • Experience developing test plans on the System, Unit, Integration and Interface level
    • Agile Project Management experience and / or demonstration of desire to grow these skills
